Chipper Jones' shoulder is feeling better, according to the Braves' official site.

Chipper Jones' MRI revealed that the pain in his shoulder is a result of acute tendinitis according to MLB.com. He was prescribed a few weeks of rest and a strength program for the 36-year-old third baseman, who won his first career batting title on Sunday.

Chipper Jones will have an MRI on his injured shoulder to determine what the issue is, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. "If there is something structurally wrong, lets get in there, lets get it taken care of so we can be as ready for spring training as possible."

Chipper Jones walked in his only at-bat on Sunday to earn the NL batting crown according to the AP. Jones hit a career-high .364 to become the NL's first switch-hitting batting champion since Terry Pendleton won in 1991.
