Dustin Pedroia has been named the AL Most Valuable Player for 2008, according to MLB.com. Pedroia earned the honor by batting .326 with 118 runs scored, 54 doubles, 17 homers, 83 RBI, and 20 stolen bases. He only struck out 52 times over 653 at-bats.
