Howard, Mavs hold on to beat Knicks Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - Josh Howard led a balanced attack with 19
points, and Jason Kidd filled the scorebook with 16 points, seven rebounds and
four assists, as Dallas rallied to down the New York Knicks, 99-94.
Antoine Wright joined five others in double figures with 13 points, Brandon
Bass notched a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds and Jason Terry
joined Dirk Nowitzki with 10 points apiece. Nowitzki also added seven boards
and seven assists for the Mavericks, who won their second straight and for the
fifth time in six games.
Jason Kidd has stated that he would like to play for the Knicks when he hits free agency in the offseason, according to the Newark Ledger. "I'm going to look and see," Kidd Said. "Coach (Mike D'Antoni) is great. And I got to know him a little bit this summer (at the Olympics). It's a great place (Madison Square Garden) - one of the best stages in professional sports,"
Dirk Nowitzki's teammates chipped in to compensate for the All Star's uncharacteristically poor shooting performance as the Mavericks rallied for a 99-94 home win against the Knicks. The league's fourth-leading scorer, Nowitzki scored just 10 points on 3-of-13 shooting.
Guard Josh Howard scored 19 points Thursday night to go along with his three assists, four rebounds, and three steals as the Mavericks beat the Knicks 99-94.
