October 16, 2008 The Toronto Sun reports that defenseman Ian White does not know why he has not played yet this season. "No, there's been no dialogue and no indications as to what the plans are for me," White said yesterday, when asked if he has talked to Wilson about his playing time, or lack thereof. "I haven't said a word and they haven't said a word to me since I've been here. So I have no idea." White, while subdued yesterday, said he will continue to work hard in practice, at defence and forward, and just "take it all in stride". "I'm kind of past the point of being frustrated. Now it's just, come here and work hard and whatever happens, happens," he said. "I'm paid to be here, paid to work hard, I have a lot of friends in the room, so I'll just keep working for the guys in here."
October 4, 2008 Ian White is believed to be on the roster bubble with the Leafs, according to the Toronto Star. Staffan Kronwall, Jonas Frogren, Jiri Tlusty, and Mark Bell are also in jeopardy of not making the roster.
